BROKER'S COMMENTS

CARILLION is a classic long keel design by Bruce Clark - she was built of kauri pine to very high standards by John Salthouse for his personal ownership at his own yard in Auckland and the yacht has proved to be a strong, very sea kindly vessel easily handled by 2 persons. Comprehensively equipped and fitted out in some considerable style below to afford both ambience and comfort – she is more than just a cruising boat and is set up for proper voyaging - her current owners sailed her back to Europe from New Zealand and she seems more than ready to go again!

Historical notes

Rod Adams and Mary Hickman purchased CARILLION in New Zealand and during her major refit some of the artisans who had constructed her visited and were pleased to see her fairing well. Subsequently her owners sailed her via the Red Sea and Mediterranean back to the Channel Islands. More recently in 2013 she was awarded the Cruising in a Classic prize at the Dartmouth Channel Regatta.
