Classic yacht recreation
Custodians of William Fife Jr's design archive containing over 600 yachts from under 10 metres up to 43 metres and with their appropriate skills and knowledge, Fairlie are extraordinarily qualified to re create such yachts, from family cruising yachts to spectacular racing schooners.
Anyone wishing to own a classic designed by Fife, Mylne or Charles Nicholson is welcome to commission Fairlie to build their own classic yacht according to one of these plans. Clients interested in Regatta racing can choose from any of the metre classes or indeed yachts whose design is not constrained by the metre rule but raced under a handicap rule. Plans available include the 23, 19 and 15 metre classes, under which rules some really spectacular classic yachts have raced in yesteryear. The archive also includes many designs that were in fact never built, including cruising yachts and racing yachts designed to the Universal Rule.
