The Blue Peter - Yacht charter

Sandeman Yacht Company are delighted to offer its clients an exclusive charter package aboard the 1929, Alfred Mylne classic, 'The Blue Peter'.

Built and launched by W. King & Sons of Burnham-on-Crouch in 1930, The Blue Peter won over 50 races in the following years, sailing out of The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club in Burnham-on-Crouch.

The Blue Peter was sold in the early 1950's and taken to Italy. She continued to grace the various islands & seas of Italy for nearly 50 years.

In 1999 she was found by her present owner, Mathew Barker, in Elba, and brought back to Italy, to Cantierie Navale Dell`Argentario, where the boat underwent a major refit in order to restore her back to her original splendour. This process took nearly 3 years, but during this time The Blue Peter has also raced at many of the mediterranean regattas with some great results, namely winning her class at 'The Conde de Barcelona' and winning the prestigious 'Most Authentic Yacht' prize in St Tropez in 2002.

The Blue Peter is available for charter, for days, weekends, weeks or even one of the 'Classic Regattas'. English, Dutch, German and French are all spoken on board and we have a basic understanding of Italian and Spanish.
