BROKER'S COMMENTS

From the board of Alan Buchanan and built by the well known yard of R.J Prior & Son in 1956, NEGUS was the first Yeoman MKII Class - built to Lloyds +100A1 and kept in class until the mid 1990s.

The hull profile is drawn out into overhangs that are beautifully harmonious with one another. She has a cut away fore-foot and a graceful sheer. This design, not only proved itself as a perfectly balanced cruiser racer but more recently a sister ship survived typhoon conditions in the Pacific Ocean without damage. Over 100 modern yachts in the same storm found themselves in trouble through their lack of directional stability, preventing them from riding; either hove - to or running before.

NEGUS had an extensive refit under her previous ownership, including a new engine, new deck and coachroof, relevant updates to her systems and a re-worked interior of impressive quality - rare on a smaller classic yacht. Further updating works have been carried out by her current owner.
