BROKER'S COMMENTS

SURFRENZY simply exudes all the classic British mid-century charm expected of the Fairley Marine powerboats: practical, race-bred express cruisers with fine Ray Hunt/ Alan Burnard 'Deep-V' sea-keeping and handling provenance, and superb looks. Essentially a stretched Huntsman 28, the extra 5 feet of length allows the Swordsman 33 to offer either a huge cockpit, or this version with its en-suite double aft cabin neatly housed between the iconic swept coamings. SURFRENZY has enjoyed few and careful ownerships with gentle upgrades over the years without any loss of charm or period feel. She has been lightly used in current ownership with her engines regularly serviced by a good marine engineer, and recently was treated to a transom rebuild by the skilled carpenters at Traditional Shipwright Services, Poole.

HISTORY

SURFRENZY was commissioned by Jersey resident and Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club member Ron M. Sayers and enjoyed by his family for almost 20 years. Ownership transferred in 1988 within Jersey to another 19 years of happy ownership by Mark A. Peters.

Mark McGougan became SURFRENZY's third owner on import to England in 2007 when the Essex coast became her playground from a base at Shotley Marina. She entered current Dorset-based ownership – only her 4th – in 2013.
